Within the activities of the project of Enhancing access to WASH for the most vulnerable population in Ad Durayhimi district of Al Hodeida governorate-25880#, funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF) , the initial hand-over of the rehabilitated three wells of AL Suwlah, Al-Haytt and Al-Shijn carried out on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. The rehabilitation processes have included installation of solar pumping systems, construction of 2 tower tanks with a capacity of 50 Cubic meters, the rehabilitation of an existing tower tank, construction of a water distribution point, and the installation and maintenance of 3 water networks with a length of more than 12 thousand linear meters of various diameters for the wells of Al-Sula, Al-Shajin and Al-Haytt in Ad Durayhimi District, Al-Hudaydah Governorate. The initial hand-over was with the attendance of the project manager, water management committees, supervising engineer and geological engineer of the Rural Water Projects Authority in Hodeida, the engineer of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation (SCMCHA), members of the community committee and representatives of the contractors and they all have checked the rehabilitated components as per the specifications and BoQs in addition to the quality and functionality of the wells and water supply networks. With positive findings, the hand-over receipts were signed by all the representatives from authorities and project management and the wells were handed-over the trained operation and management committees.
