Success stories
With support from the Yemen Humanitarian Pooled Fund (YHPF), LMMPO has provided food vouchers for Mohammed’s family for 6 consecutive months as per the FSAC minimum standards food basket in addition to IEC materials on best food practices. Mohammed’s family was one of 2000HHs targeted and provided with the voucher for food assistance in Al-Sukhna district.
There, in the southwest of Hodeida Governorate, miles away from the center of
Al-Sukhnah district, Mohammed Abdul-Rahman, 32-year-old, lives in the Za`awar
Al-Sufla village, with a family of 9 people. What is observed from first sight, the voices are raised in search of urgent humanitarian aid because of the humanitarian and catastrophic situation in Hodeida governorate, where most of the families have lost their jobs and livestock.
“I bought two beehives two months ago and beehives multiplied and became 4" happily said Mohammed. "Thanks to LMMPO that provided us with enough food for a period of 6 months … that helped me to have my own project … I am dreaming of growing them to be 100 beehives in future” he added.
