Project Name: Emergency Response to Outbreak of Cholera/Acute Water Disease (AWD) in the affected districts in Dhamar Governorate

LMMPO implemented an Emergency Response to Outbreak of Cholera/Acute Water Disease (AWD) project, funded by YHPF (Project Code: #6269), in Al-Hadda and Jahran districts, Dhamar Governorate, from June, 2017 to November, 2017 to address the issue of the outbreak of cholera and acute water diseases in the targeted districts. Activities implemented included distribution of aqua tabs and hygiene consumable kits to over 13000 HHs, training and sensitizing 200 community volunteers who carried out awareness raising sessions on cholera prevention, and rehabilitation of 11 health centers where suspected cholera affected cases were treated. This project significantly contributed to reduce and minimize the AWD rate in the targeted districts.
