Summary of the project:
LMMPO implemented a WASH project, funded by YHPF (Project Code: #10395), for the most vulnerable host communities to alleviate the suffering of conflict-affected population in Al-Sukhnah and Al-Zaydia districts, Hodeida Governorate, from Oct. 10th, 2018 to Jan. 9th 2020. The project intervened by installation of 6 solar systems for 6 public water wells in both districts, construction of 360 communal latrines for IDPs in Al-Sukhna District, provision of 1500 basic hygiene kits, and training of community volunteers on hygiene promotion and monitoring of the water supply of the 6 water sources. The water, sanitation, and hygiene situation in both districts have improved as vulnerable populations now get easy-fetched clean drinking water and have safe latrines that protect their dignity.

- -Installation of solar systems (6 completed solar systems provided for public water wells that serve about 26,554 individuals in both districts).

-Training of community volunteers on hygiene promotion and monitoring of the water supply of the 6 water sources.
